Shelbourne Renault will have a special visitor this week in the shape of the Renault Formula 1 Team Car.  The Formula 1 car will be on display at the Shelbourne Renault franchise this Wednesday and Thursday and will also be on display at the Shelbourne exhibition stand at this Saturdays Armagh show.

Renault F1 has produced some of the most legendary Formula One figures in history.  Nigel Mansell became the first ever British driver to win the Championship with Renault in 1992, followed four years later by another British F1 racing legend Damon Hill in 1996 and again by his Candian partner Jacques Villenerve in 1997.  This wasn’t the end to the birth of prodigy racing drivers.  In  2001,  F1 Champion Jenson Button joined and formed the basis of his illustrious career in racing with Renault F1.  Button was then replaced by Fernando Alsonso who lead Renault to victory in their 200^th Championship race at Silverstone in 2006 as well as going onto win the Championship for Renault in 2005 & 2006.

The current drivers for Renault are Robert Kubica and Vitaly Petrov and with only 7 races into the Championship they have managed to secure 2 podium finishes in what promises to be a nail biting season, with all racing teams pulling out the stops to ensure they are number one this season and Renault  F1 are no exception.
